Babylon Village, Long Island is the sort of place where a sense of community is top priority. This feeling is evident on a typical day at Argyle Jewelers. As we spoke to store owner Joe, someone from the shop across the street stopped in to deliver a piece of collectible glass simply because they knew Joe would like to have it. Nothing expected in return, all of the shopkeepers in this village have an understanding that the way forward is together. “We do the right thing here, and word travels fast,” Joe says.
That word has led to the success of Argyle Jewelers. There were once five jewelers in town, but these days Argyle Jewelers rules the roost when it comes to bringing the sparkle to Babylon Village. Joe puts it down to the store’s dedication to superior customer service which has produced a loyal following over their fifteen years of business. Word of mouth has also ensured that even after all those years, new customers are joining the Argyle family all the time.
When it came time for Argyle to introduce just the right line of men’s’ jewelry, they came across Hollis Bahringer at JCK Las Vegas. Argyle’s sales rep knew immediately that this was the missing piece for their village jeweler, and within days Hollis Bahringer made its way to Babylon. Joe and his team are thrilled with the look and quality of the pieces and are looking forward to expanding their base as they enter into the men’s jewelry market. They are so confident in the product, they have given over an entire case in their beautifully appointed shop. Several of the Hollis Bahringer collections are represented, along with a selection men’s bracelets.
Adding Hollis Bahringer men’s collections to their long list of classics from watches and watch repair, to fine jewelry and bridal, Argyle Jewelers is now poised to expand their already broad base. In this tight knit village, news will surely travel fast that there’s a new collection on the block. With Argyle Jewelers’ proven history of top notch customer care and the high quality of the Hollis Bahringer line, this looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
